About
The Name
The inspiration for the name Water of the Vine comes from a powerful childhood experience. When Barukh Schwadron was a young child, around five years old, he was told that if you were in the wilderness and needed water, you could cut a vine in North America and good, clean water would drip out. While perhaps a slight exaggeration, this notion was incredibly inspiring to him. When fresh water dripped onto his tongue, after trying it in the woods behind his home, he tasted the abundance in nature and realized the world held so much more than many people recognized. This pivotal moment propelled him onto a lifelong path of exploring nature's abundance through healing arts, food, education, and Earth skills. All ways to help others connect with the natural world. The organization Water of the Vine is named after this foundational encounter, embodying the mission of helping people see the beauty and abundance in the natural world and fostering an integrated relationship with it through skills like crafts, plant identification, and wild medicine harvesting, among so much more.

Mission
WotV aims to propagate connection with self, each other, and the natural world. We work to recognize and celebrate the regenerative abundance of the natural world - helping people see the beauty, food, and medicine that exist in the world.
Vision
Water of the Vine achieves this reconnection through three main areas: healing, mentorship, and Earth-living skills.... These activities help individuals tap into a primal, ancestral connection to the soil and plants and craft their own lives by re-skilling
