Malachot 2025

The Malachot gathering is an Earth skills gathering hosted by Water of the Vine. The event focuses on crafts central to the Jewish tradition, specifically those refrained from on Shabbat. We venture to explore the question, if we do not engage with the 39 Malachot during the week, do we lose something of Shabbat when we have nothing to refrain from?  It will take place in a  gorgeous private wilderness area in southern Oregon, within an epic oak grove situated near a swimmable creek. The skills taught at Malachot fall into four categories: Bread making, Animal processing, Construction, and Fabric arts.  This is a village building experiment, so let's come together and practice!

Dinners will be provided, and a commmunal kitchen will be shared for breakfast and lunch.  Camping provided onsite, bring your own gear.  Water is available.
